BIOGRAPHY

Ryan Wornall is a distinguished bass and Resident Artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts, where he studies with Bill Schuman. He is a recent graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance under the mentorship of Dr. Genaro Méndez Jr.

Ryan has portrayed significant roles such as Leporello and The Commendatore in Don Giovanni, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, and James/Mr. Zingone in Carry My Own Suitcase. He has also performed scenes as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Colline in La Bohème, and Scarpia in Tosca.

His talent and dedication have earned him numerous accolades, including first place in his category at the West Central Regional NATS, 2x NATS KC Chapter, and NATS Kansas Chapter competitions. Ryan is a former member of the Kansas City Schola Cantorum at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and has performed with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, touring schools with The Haberdasher Prince and appearing in the chorus of Turandot.

As a Resident Artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts, Mr. Wornall will perform the roles of Bartolo/Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro, Haushofmeister in Capriccio, Capellio in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, and Falstaff in Falstaff.
